Description

Machine quilting can be done faster and better with Fun-Dation, a material specifically designed to do foundation piecing for hand sewn and machine embroidered quilts. This translucent, nonwoven tearaway is stronger than paper, but still allows you to see through fabric layers for easier positioning and less flipping back and forth.

It will not tear prematurely as can happen with tissue paper, and it tears away cleanly without the use of tweezers. After tearing the excess away, the reminder can be left in the project for added support. It provides the optimum amount of stability so your seam lines will be accurate, and it will not dull your sewing needle. It also can be run through most copiers and printers, or it can be marked with a pen, rubber stamps, or iron-on transfers.

In addition to quilting, Fun-Dation also can be used for machine appliqué, embroidery, and decorative stitching for pillows, table runners, apparel, pillowcases, napkins, and much more. It’s made of 75% rayon/25% polyester.
